Morecambe & Blackpool Tower

Chalfont Line Holidays is pleased to offer this new holiday in the North West, staying at the luxurious Midland Hotel overlooking Morecambe bay, an ideal location from where to visit some of best jewels of the North West.

Day 1 | The holiday departs London from Heston Services (Westbound) on the M4, pickups can be arranged along the M40 and M6 motorway service areas. For the duration of the holiday we will be based at the Midland Hotel. This is not just any hotel; it is a hotel with history, an internationally renowned Art-Deco classic. It has been lovingly restored with the addition of a spectacular rooftop terrace.

Day 2 | Full day guided visit of the Lake District perhaps the most attractive and popular of the English National Parks it contains 64 lakes brooded over by about 200 mountains boasting Scafell Pike - England's highest mountain 'The Lakes' offers some of the UK's most stunning scenery, inspiring artists like Turner and Ruskin and some of the country's best loved writers, such as William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.

Day 3 | Today is a free day relax in the Midland Spa where a wide range of treatments are available, see your tour manager or enjoy the views of the bay.

Day 4 | Visit the nation's most popular beach resort, Blackpool, which attracts more than 10 million visitors a year. The town boasts three piers, the Blackpool Tower which hosts a circus and the Tower Ballroom, the Pleasure Beach where you can find the Big One Europe's tallest and fastest rollercoaster.

Day 5 | Join us for a guided tour of the Yorkshire Dales. The word dale comes from the Viking word for valley; the dales are rugged steep hills which culminate in the three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside.

Day 6 | Spend time in Bowness, shop for souvenirs, visit the Windermere Steam Museum or enjoy a cruise on the lake.

Day 7 | Today is a free day relax and enjoy the facilities the hotel offers or take a stroll on the promenade and enjoy the spectacular views and remarkable sunsets across the Bay towards the Lake District. The promenade and seafront plays host to a variety of artwork from a statue of Eric Morecambe to a 'flock of words'.

Day 8 | After breakfast we make our way back to London dropping off on the M6 and M40.
