Chalfont Line Holidays is pleased to offer this tour of Scotland

The holiday departs London from Heston Services (Westbound) on the M4; pick-ups can be arranged on the M40 and M6 motorway service areas.

Day 1 | Departure from the London Heston Services for Glasgow. The hotel where we will be based for the next 2 nights is the award winning Holiday Inn ideally situated in the fashionable Theatreland district of the city.

Day 2 | After our first Scottish breakfast guided tour of this famous city located on the banks of the river Clyde. Glasgow boasts fine architecture, superb shopping facilities; it is Scotland's second largest city and the largest retail centre after London. The afternoon is free to discover the city at your own pace or indulge in some retail therapy.

Day 3 | Late morning transfer from Glasgow for the scenic drive to Inverness en route we will stop at the Glencoe Visitors Centre when in 1692 the Campbells massacred the MacDonalds after they were slow to sign the allegiance to King William. Driving along the shores of Loch Ness there will be time for monster watching. For the next 3 nights we will stay at The Palace Hotel, centrally situated on the banks of the river Ness opposite Inverness Castle.

Day 5 | For those who missed Nessie yesterday today is another chance as we board a boat for a cruise of the famous loch, the second largest Scottish loch after Loch Lomond. Rest of the day is free.

Day 6 | Transfer to Edinburgh en route visit The Famous Grouse distillery, for the next 2 nights we will be based at the Radisson Hotel located in the heart of the city on the historic Royal Mile.

Day 7 | Morning guided tour of the city see its rich history and heritage, admire Edinburgh Castle which dominates the city centre, tonight join us on our Scottish evening enjoy dinner and show, a great way to finish this super holiday.

Day 8 | After breakfast we leave Edinburgh and make our way back to London, drop offs can be arranged on the M6 and M40 motorways.
