Fly to Sydney from London Heathrow stay at the luxurious Sydney Wentworth hotel, welcome the New Year in style enjoy the spectacular fireworks display over the bay, soak up the sunshine and the city’s sights before joining Princess on a cruise of Australia and New Zealand
Day 1 | This evening we depart London Heathrow for our destination Sydney.
Day 2 | On arrival we will be met by our wheelchair accessible coach for the transfer to the 5* Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. This super hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney shopping district, it has been recently refurbished, the city’s sights are only a short distance away. We will be based at the Wentworth for the next 4 nights.
Day 3 | Free day; enjoy the facilities the hotel has to offer. To welcome the New Year admire the fireworks over the Sydney Harbour Bridge join in the celebrations.
Day 4 | Free day
Day 5 | This morning after breakfast a guided tour of the city and surrounding areas, see the famous Bondi beach, later return to the hotel.
Day 6 | Early departure from the hotel, we fly from Sydney to Auckland, on arrival we will be met by our transport for the transfer to the docks to join the Diamond Princess cruise of New Zealand and Australia.
Day 7 | First port of call is Tauranga, the city lies in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand’s North Island.
Day 8 | At sea
Day 9 | Today we arrive in Christchurch, the city is situated in the South Island, join us in our guided tour.
Day 10 | Visit Dunedin, the city stands on the remnants of an extinct volcano surrounding the Otago Harbour; it is home to the oldest university in New Zealand. Learn more about this beautiful city during our guided tour, later return to the ship.
Day 11 | Scenic cruising in the Fjordland National Park.
Day 12/13 | At sea
Day 14 | Today visit Hobart the state capital and most populated city of the island state of Tasmania. The city was founded in 1803 as a penal colony. Mount Wellington is the dominant feature of Hobart’s skyline; the mountain has its own ecosystems, which plays a large part in determining the local weather.
Day 15 | At sea
Day 16 | Melbourne set around the shores of Port Phillip Bay, has a lively and cosmopolitan feel; it offers chic fashion stores, buzzing cafes and trendy bars, elegant Victorian streetscapes, skyscrapers, galleries and theatres. Join us in our guided tour of this vibrant city.
Day 17 | At sea
Day 18 | This morning the cruise ship arrives in Sydney we transfer from the docks to the airport for the flight back to the UK.
