Day 1 | In London we will be staying at the Thistle Marble Arch hotel, this Art Deco style hotel overlooks Oxford Street and Marble Arch; it is the perfect place from where to explore London. Please arrive at the hotel after 2 pm; the tour manager will be at the hotel to welcome you and to handle all the check in procedures. Later meet the rest of the group over dinner in the hotel.
Day 2 | Meet our blue badge guide, for a London city tour; visit the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, final resting place of many English monarchs. This evening enjoy our dinner cruise on the river Thames sail past famous London landmarks.
Day 3 | After we check out visit Hampton Court, find out more about this beautiful palace and its history during our guided tour, then drive to Battle, beautiful Sussex village named after the 1066 battle of Hastings, learn more about this battle from our guide. Later we transfer to Canterbury, for the next two nights we will be based at the Abode Hotel a stylish boutique hotel that has been beautifully designed and refurbished, maintaining the old wooden beams and traditional fabric of an ancient and historic building. The hotel is located within the city walls and it is only minutes away from Canterbury Cathedral (a world heritage site).
Day 4 | This morning with our guide visit
Canterbury Cathedral, as we make our way to
the crypt you can feel the fate that befell
Thomas Becket all those centuries ago. Rest of
the day is free to explore this lovely city.
Day 5 | Today we visit Leeds Castle, we have arranged for our own private guide later transfer to Stratford upon Avon. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn for the next 2 nights, the hotel is conveniently located to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace.
Day 6 | Morning guided tour of Stratford, see Shakespeare’s house and the records of his birth and death in the local church. Afternoon is free.
Day 7 | Travel to the battlefield of Bosworth, the battle that took place here had a dramatic effect on English history; it marked the end of the War of the Roses and the beginning of the Tudor dynasty. Late afternoon we travel back to London where the tour ends.
